wikipedia

We were asked to edit wikipedia as part of our course.

So, I decided to replace a dead link found in one of the pages I have editted to a better link. The next morning, I decided to visit the page again to edit some info but surprise, surprise, someone put the dead link back to the page! I was really shocked because I didn't expect that someone would undo what I've done. Also, it was really fast. It only took him less than 24hr to undo my stuff.

Shall I declare war?

(DD told us that wiki war could happen when that person keeps on changing things that we have changed.)

Don't be naughty

Yesterday, we were discussing the verb "to be" in class.

The lecturer used "don't be naughty" as an example to illustrate his point.

Then he asked us the opposite of "don't be naughty". N and I quickly answered, "be naughty".

I have no idea why we said that.

The right answer is "be good".

Last night, I asked the same question to my 7 year old niece and she answered it right.

What's wrong with us? I guess, our brains were digested by the kentucky fried chicken that we had during lunch. LOL.

Twitter

I posted ''I HATE ebrary! PERIOD!!!'' on Twitter 12 hours ago.

When I logged on to my Twitter account few minutes ago, there was a reply from someone. Guess who?

ebrary administrator.

The admin posted a reply 4 hours ago to me saying ''please email support@ebrary.com if we can be assistance to you.''

I have no idea that ebrary is also on Twitter.

So, lesson learnt. Never ever post stuff emotionally. Well, it may be a positive thing that the admin is trying to assist me but I feel strange upon receiving the unexpected reply. Well, welcome to Twitter I guess?

Youtube

My friend, N, just bought a new camera. It is a semi-pro camera and she did not make full use of the functions because it is very complicated (and the manual book is very thick). So another friend of mine, D, told us that if you want to know more about cameras, the easiest thing to do is to check it out on Youtube.

Well, D is probably right. This is because I also use Youtube to check out the make-up tips. I find it easy to follow since I can see exactly how I should apply and use the the stuff.

Google is lucky to have Youtube and I am pretty sure that Google does not lose much if others go for Youtube instead of the Google search engine.

e-brary

I am not sure if others have ever used e-brary. I personally hate it. I could not download the book as pdf file or something along that line because of the copyright issue.

I know it is an online library but my head would turn upside down after HOURS of retrieving the pages from the book. I could use the time to do other stuff or simply borrow the same book at the library and read it on my bed. Too bad, the book is not available in the library.

I know that I claim myself as an internet junkie but e-brary is just not my thing.

The word "Gay"

According to Urban Dictionary, Gay refers to homosexual men or women.

However, my parents think that being "pundan" (a transvestite) also means one is being gay.

I find it hard to explain to them that being gay does not mean that one has to be a "pundan". Even a real man could become gay. This issue came about when I told them that there is an article on gay phenomenon in Brunei and the study was done by UBD lecturers.

the power of internet

Golden Globe Awards started at 8am this morning (Brunei Time) and I could not watch it LIVE because my class starts at 9am.

However, with the power of internet, I found out that Jim Parson wins the best actor (TV series comedy/musical) and Toy Story 3 wins the best animated film.

I am also a fan of Red Carpet News and I found out that that Megan Fox wears pink and Angelina Jolie wears green.

These information are all retrieved from Twitter. isn't that cool?
